Agreement

These terms apply to your use of timer15minute.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. There is nothing to sign and no account to create.

What the site provides

timer15minute.com offers countdown timers, a stopwatch, an alarm clock and date countdowns that run in your web browser. The service is free of charge, requires no registration, and may be used for personal and commercial purposes: in classrooms, gyms, offices, kitchens, events, workshops and live streams, without asking permission and without payment.

Important limits on reliance

Please read this section even if you skip the rest.

A browser-based timer is not a safety device. Browsers and operating systems may suspend a background tab, mute audio, sleep the device, close the tab to reclaim memory, or lose the page when the connection drops. Your device may be silenced, the volume may be down, or the browser may block sound until you interact with the page.

Do not rely on this site as the only alarm where a missed or late alarm carries real consequences. That includes, without limitation: medication and medical treatment, clinical or laboratory procedures, driving or operating machinery, industrial or safety-critical processes, examinations, legal or filing deadlines, catching transport, and unattended cooking. For those, use a dedicated physical timer or alarm as well.

Provided as it is

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or that any defect will be corrected. Timing accuracy depends on your device's own clock and on your browser, neither of which is under our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. That includes lost profits, lost data, missed appointments, missed deadlines, spoiled food, interrupted work, and any indirect or consequential loss, whether or not we were advised such loss was possible.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Because the site is provided free of charge, no refund or compensation arises from its use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to break the law, and not to interfere with its operation or with anyone else's use of it. Specifically, please do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting, place automated load on it that degrades the service for others, or copy the site wholesale in order to republish it as your own.

Ordinary use, including heavy daily use, embedding a timer page on a display screen, and using the site in a business, is expressly welcome and is not what this section is about.

Intellectual property

The text, design, layout, code and images on this site belong to timer15minute.com and are protected by copyright. You may:

• link to any page, from anywhere, without asking;
• display the site on a screen or projector in a class, gym, office or event;
• quote a short passage with attribution and a link.

You may not republish the site's pages or content as your own, or present it as though it were another service. For anything beyond the uses listed above, ask at contact@timer-15-minute.com.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, move or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including individual timer pages, without notice. Once you have visited a page it is cached in your browser and will usually keep working offline, but no guarantee of continued availability is given.

These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy, disclaimer and disclosure

How the site handles data is set out in the privacy policy. The limits of what the content and the timer can be relied on for are set out in the disclaimer, and how the site is funded is stated in the disclosure. All three form part of these terms.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
